Wow, talk about a difference in sheer volume - 5 chibis on Friday, and 40 on Saturday. This convention definitely turned into the "group chibi" convention. Very tiring, but really cool :-). Biggest group of the day? Seven people. Youngest chibis? Take a look at the last couple of pictures.
Also cool? The one time I got to sneak away from my table for a couple of minutes, I got to hear Vic Mignogna sing his song "Nothing I Won't Give" live. Quite awesome, that.
Oh, and lest I forget, I LOVE how I'm starting to have repeat customers that keep coming back each year to have their chibis done (there's a few that are on their THIRD year). Others have brought family members and friends back to get their chibis drawn as well. Some have even come back to be drawn twice in the same day! Those are all quite amazing compliments, and I greatly appreciate it
:-).
Also, I still think drawing people at a con is worth months of drawing classes. All the texture, costumes, masks, and the like - you learn very quickly how to draw all kinds of things.
